Digital Innovation Hubs provide you with access to a range of specialized equipment and computer software for in-library use. Staff are available to help walk you through use and troubleshoot challenges.

Digital Innovation Hubs offer Windows and Mac computers with industry standard and open source design and creation software.

How to reserve a computer
Computer workstations in Digital Innovation Hubs may be reserved by calling the branch or are available on a first-come, first-served basis during library open hours.
- A Toronto Public Library card is required.
- Reservations can be made up to three days in advance at all locations.
- Reservations are limited to a maximum two hours per day.
- Computers can only be reserved by customers working with equipment and software unique to the Digital Innovation Hub.
- Reservations held for fifteen minutes.
Equipment
Digital Innovation Hubs let you access a range of specialized equipment for in-library use, including Wacom Cintiq graphic tablets, External USB Blu-ray drive, Arduinos, and Raspberry Pis.
How to use in-library equipment
To use equipment, talk to staff at a Digital Innovation Hub.
- A valid Toronto Public Library card is required.
- You will need to complete and sign an equipment loan form before you can check out equipment. Customers under the age of 18 need to have the form signed by their parent or guardian in person.
- Equipment can be checked out for up to two hours and renewed only if available.
- Full replacement cost is charged for lost or damaged equipment.
